However, the Oilers (101 pts) finished 6th in the conference in the regular season. They were behind Colorado (102 pts), Los Angeles (105 pts), Dallas (106 pts), Winnipeg (116 pts), and, of course, the Golden Knights (110 pts). While the focus on getting past Edmonton is valid, Vegas’ results against the other top teams were massively concerning in the second half of the season.
