Two wins in a row against two good teams is good, but it shouldn't be enough to get you back on the Rangers hype train and stop a sell-off. As Sam Rosen exclaimed as the final buzzer sounded last night, in a tone of voice typically reserved for postseason series-clinching wins, The New York Rangers have a two game winning streak! What's more, those two wins are against a very good New Jersey Devils team, who utterly embarrassed the Rangers right before Christmas, and the Vegas Golden Knights, who coming into this game possessed the best record in the league. A quick personal note: I did not see a minute of the Devils game because I was preoccupied watching my Notre Dame Fighting Irish defeat Penn State to advance to the College Football Playoff National Championship game.
