Everyone has already started looking forward to what could be a stacked 2026 free agency class, but the Vegas Golden Knights are looking to make sure one of their key faces isn't part of the conversation. Superstar forward Jack Eichel is about to enter the final year of his contract with the Golden Knights, making him eligible for an extension. According to The Fourth Period, an extension isn't coming right away, but there is communication between both partied and an Eichel contract is being worked on. “The Vegas Golden Knights continue contract discussions with star centre Jack Eichel on a long-term extension,” The Fourth Period writes. “Though talks are still believed to be in the early stages.”
